Dynamos Football Club’s five-game winning streak in the Zimbabwean Premier League came to an end when they played to a goalless draw with Triangle United on Sunday.
With 29 points and three points outside of safety, Dynamos is now in serious danger of relegation.
With a victory in a Week 28 fixture, Dynamos’ would have come very close to leaving the drop zone.
Kelvin Kaindu, the head coach of Dynamos FC, was pleased with his team’s performance despite dropping points.
He added that the point was valuable even though victory would have provided much-needed relief.
“For us even to come out with a point today is a point that we fought for. We’ve dropped two points because a victory would have pushed us away from the position we have been in for months. But still, it’s a vital point we have gained today,” he said.
Kaindu admitted his side lacked sharpness in attack, noting their training struggles had mirrored their match-day display.
“In training this week we really struggled to convert our chances, and maybe that’s why today we also failed to score,” he explained. “We had opportunities, even a one-on-one, but we did not take them.”
Despite the frustration, the coach said he was grateful for the draw against a resilient Triangle side.

“This game involved a lot mentally and psychologically. To get a point today is a blessing,” Kaindu concluded.
Their next assignment is a crucial Harare derby against CAPS United, who are also fighting to avoid the relegation battle.
CAPS, coached by fellow Zambian, Ian Bakala, are 13th with 32 points following a goalless draw with Herentals.
