Zambian international striker Kingstone Mutandwa has joined Swiss Super League side Servette FC from Italian club Cagliari Calcio on loan, with an option for the Swiss club to make the move permanent.
The 23-year-old forward has signed for the Grenat after an impressive spell in the Austrian Bundesliga with SV Ried, where he scored 14 goals in 29 official matches.
His 14-goal tally made him the highest-scoring player in the Austrian Bundesliga excluding penalty goals.
Mutandwa was trained in Zambia before continuing his development in Italy, where he featured for Cagliari’s youth teams before progressing to professional football.
The striker has also represented Zambia at international level, earning several caps for the Chipolopolo.
Servette described Mutandwa as a powerful and athletic forward who will strengthen the club’s attacking options under head coach Jocelyn Gourvennec.
The Swiss club has welcomed the Zambian striker to Geneva and wished him success in the club’s garnet colours.
