With a fantastic performance, Chipolopolo Boys goalie Toaster Nsabata assisted Sekhukhune United in defeating Kaizer Chiefs 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Nsabata helped his side maintain their unbeaten run in the new campaign of South Africa’s top-flight league.

Nsabata said the performance in the Amakoshi match is an indication that he needs to work extra hard in the upcoming matches.

He made his first appearance since returning to Sekhukhune United against Kaizer Chiefs, making seven vital saves.

Speaking exclusively to Bolanews, Nsabata believes it serves as a reminder to put in more effort.

“The performance against Kaizer Chiefs is not for me to relax, but it’s a wake-up call for me to work hard. I want my fellow goalkeepers to give me pressure, and I will also give them pressure because that will help me work even harder. I love pressure because it helps you compete. And will show them that I am the number one goalkeeper,” he said.

The former Zanaco goal minder praised his coaches for believing in him.

“It was a big thank you to the coaches who believed in me after I had struggles with the work permit. It was a big game, like you saw. After the international break, they told me I will be the one in goal against Kaizer Chiefs. It was pressure for me because the other goalkeepers who played before me did a good job,” he noted.

With 16 points from six games played, Sekhukhune United is currently leading the league table after winning five and drawing just one.

Sekhukhune will face Golden Arrows in their next league fixture on September, 20th.
