ZPL National League side Indeni Football Club forward Jonathan Munalulu has set his sights on helping the team make an immediate return to the MTN Super League following their relegation last season.
The Ndola outfit endured a difficult 2024/25 campaign, struggling to pick up points for most of the season and eventually dropping to the second tier.
With the new season set to kick off this weekend, Munalulu says the squad is determined to bounce back stronger.
“We know what it means to play in the MTN Super League, and that is where we belong,” Munalulu told reporters. “Last season was painful for everyone involved, but we have learned from our mistakes. This time, our focus is on consistency and winning every home game.”
The forward believes the team has the quality and depth needed to fight for promotion.
“Our squad is balanced, with a mix of experienced players and young talent hungry to prove themselves. If we work together and stay disciplined, there’s no reason we can’t secure promotion by the end of the season.”
On a personal level, Munalulu says he is ready to lead from the front.
“I’ve been working hard in the off-season to improve my fitness and finishing,” he added. “I want to be among the top scorers this season and contribute as much as I can to the team’s success. The challenge is big, but I’m ready for it.”
