The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) recorded a 27.8 percent decline in revenue from ticket sales for international matches hosted in 2025, collecting K4,927,029 compared to K6,825,055 in 2024.
Historically, ticket sales have been one of the major streams of income for Football House, but the association failed to register growth in 2024 compared to the previous year.
According to financial statements presented during the FAZ annual general meeting in Ndola on Sunday, the association recorded a decline of K1,898,026 in revenue from ticket sales for international matches it hosted.
Other areas that registered reduced income included player transfers, where FAZ collected K589,520 in 2025 compared to K589,525 in 2024.
There was also a sharp decline in revenue from advertising and television rights. In 2025, FAZ collected K33,532,774 from advertising and TV rights compared to K55,496,755 the previous year.
Sponsorship income also dropped from K18,585,600 in 2024 to K11,782,800 in 2025.
However, it was not all gloomy for the association, as FAZ recorded increased income from grants and regulatory revenue.
