Last week’s humiliating 3-0 Champions League defeat to RS Berkane has got nothing on Power Dynamos coach Osward Mutapa ahead of another difficult clash against a tricky opponent, Pyramids FC.

Power’s run in the group stage got off to the worst possible start, losing 3–0 in Morocco, and they now have to ensure things do not get stickier when they play Pyramids, who come into this game on the back of a 3–0 win over Nigeria’s Rivers United.

Mutapa dated the press on Friday and remained adamant that his team is ready to face another North African test at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

“Football is for the brave. Today you lose; tomorrow you get back to work. That’s straight away what we are going to do,” Mutapa told reporters who reminded him of the 3–0 loss.

He acknowledged, “Yes, we had a very tough game. We lost, but we are not out. Like I said, when playing the big boys, we just have to apply ourselves very well. And this is football.”

Mutapa was flanked by midfielder Salulani Phiri, who said players need to show character.

“The mood is very high. We looked at ourselves and what we can do as a team. The mood must be there; we cannot look down on ourselves just because we lost. But it’s high time we pull up our game. Tomorrow [Saturday] is one of the games where we need to show our character,” Phiri said.
