Priviledge Mupeti, Zimbabwe women’s national team forward says the Mighty Warriors will use the upcoming Three-Nations Women’s Tournament in Lilongwe as an opportunity to learn, improve, and rebuild the team.
Zimbabwe is only nation among the participants that failed to qualify for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe will contest the tournament during the FIFA Women’s International Window from 28 November to 2 December 2025 at Bingu National Stadium.
Kenya had initially been invited but opted for other fixtures, resulting in a three-team format.
“I’m really happy to be back” – Mupeti.
According to the fixtures, Malawi will face Zimbabwe in the opening match on Friday, 28 November, before hosting Zambia on Sunday, 30 November.
Zambia and Zimbabwe will conclude the tournament on Tuesday, 2 December. The team with the highest points from the three matches will be crowned champions.
For Malawi and Zambia, the matches form part of final preparations ahead of the 2026 WAFCON in Morocco. For Zimbabwe, however, the tournament offers a valuable testing platform following their failure to qualify.

Speaking to ZIFA media, Mupeti expressed her excitement at being back in the squad and emphasized that the team is approaching the event with humility and hunger.
“I’m really happy to be back on the squad. As a team, we are looking forward to going to the tournament and doing our best. We are here to learn, and we are going there to learn as well,” she said.
She also appealed for continued supporter backing.
“As a player, I really want to say we would like our fans to help us all the way and support us all the way because your support is the one that keeps us going. I promise we will never disappoint. We are going there to do something great this time.”
