On Saturday, Lesotho Defence Force Ladies will take on Zesco Ndola Girls in what their coach Nation Dube has described as a “tall order” group A fixture match.
The match against the Zambian women champions is in their second Group A match at the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA qualifier.
The Lesotho Defence Force opened their campaign with a disappointing 2-1 defeat to hosts Gaborone United Ladies FC on Thursday.
On other hand, Zesco Ndola Girls started strongly with a 5-2 victory over the Zimbabwean side Herentals Queens.
Dube believes the defeat has left his team with little room for error against the Zambian champions.
“The biggest mistake was allowing them back into the game” Dube said after the defeat to Gaborone United.
He felt his side had opportunities to put the match beyond the hosts in the first half.
“You see those two missed chances, clear chances. If we had gone three up in the first half, I don’t think they would have come back,” he said.
With Zesco now next on the schedule, Dube acknowledged the difficult situation facing his team.
“Against Zesco, their confidence is somewhere there, and my team’s confidence is down,” he said.
He admitted that losing the opening match was not part of his team’s plan.

“Knowing that we had said, ‘Let’s get this one, then it will be an easy tournament if we can get our first game,” Dube said.
“It’s not ideal to start the tournament with a loss.”
He, insisted that his players must focus on finding a way to collect points from their remaining matches.
