Tanzanian Champions, Young Africans (Yanga FC) Have appointed Zambian football administrator Andre Mtine as their new club’s Chief executive officer(CEO) to replace South Africa’s Senzo Mbatha who parted ways with the club at the end of the last season.

Mtine has previously served as club CEO for Zambian Super League side, Power Dynamos from 2000 to 2004 after serving as a Nkana FC executive committee member during club’s greatest era in the eighties.. He was an executive committee member at Zesco United between 2007- 2008 before resigning from the club.

Mtine joins Yanga with massive experience having also served on the CAF financial committee.

He was until his appointment part of the management at Congo DRC side, TP Mazembe where he continued to make his mark at the highest level of African Club Football.

Mtine drives his football management inspiration from his father, Mr Tom Mtine who served as Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President in the seventies and eighties as well as an executive committee member of the Confederation of African Football, even challenging Issa Hayatou for the presidency.
