Power Dynamos’ remarkable domestic run since December 2025 has been built on the brilliance of several players, with Moses Shumah grabbing headlines after scoring 21 goals this season. However, winger Ronel Manyanga is quietly emerging as another fan favourite at Arthur Davies Stadium.

The 24-year-old joined Power Dynamos from Gaborone United in Botswana at the start of last season on a one-year deal. Despite not being a regular starter, Manyanga has made a strong impact, contributing three goals and two assists, including a key assist in the Kitwe derby.

His performances have also sparked debate among some supporters over his nationality after the club did not disclose it when announcing his signing.

“I’m 100% Zambian,” the St. Raphael’s Secondary School product from Livingstone confirmed to BolaNews.

Manyanga also revealed that representing the national team remains one of his biggest ambitions.

“Of course, [that is] one of my targets. I understand I need to keep doing my part and performing at the highest level. The rest will flow accordingly. God willingly,” he said.

The winger could end the season with his first silverware at Power Dynamos. The Kitwe giants are currently in pole position to win the league, holding a 10-point lead at the top of the table, and are also through to the ABSA Cup final, where they will face Red Arrows on May 9.

“I cannot stress how important that really is. I mean, it’s every player’s dream to win trophies, and here we are with a golden opportunity to do it, one of the reasons I joined the team: to compete for every trophy out there,” the former Green Eagles winger said.

Manyanga on his future

Manyanga, who also played for Blue Arrows in Livingstone, has a contract that is set to expire in July, but the winger insists his focus remains on helping the team finish the season strongly.

“I’m fully focused on the task at hand. I will look at contractual issues after the job is done,” he said.

The former Gaborone United player admitted that adapting to life at Power Dynamos was initially difficult but says he now feels settled and confident.

“I found it a bit hard to settle down at first, especially the style of play in the league, but now I’m more comfortable and enjoying myself. My target is to get to 10 [goals] with these few remaining matches,” he concluded.
