Napsa Stars striker Evans Kayombo has joined Mozambican side Costa do Sol on a six-month loan deal with an option to buy.
Following BolaNews’ report, the Chavuma native confirmed his move on Monday morning in a Facebook post.
“A new chapter unfolds, presenting a fresh challenge. I am pleased to announce my temporary transfer to Costa do Sol on a six-month loan deal from Napsa Stars, which includes a prospective purchase option,” he said. “I extend my gratitude to God, my family, teammates, and all individuals who have contributed to my growth.”
Kayombo is the first and only player from Chavuma District in Zambia’s North-Western Province to represent the national team. He is also set to become the district’s first footballer to play professionally outside the country after making his name in the Zambia Super League.
The striker endured a relatively quiet 2025/26 season, scoring just two goals. However, he enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in 2024/25, netting eight goals to finish as Napsa Stars’ top scorer in the MTN Super League.
