As the football community awaits the verdict by (Court of Arbitration for Sport) CAS over the disputed 2025 AfCON final match between Senegal and Morocco, information has emerged suggesting “high level” interference following a walk out by Senegalese players in the 97th minute.
After Congolese referee, Jean Jacques Ndala awarded a penalty to Morocco, several Senegalese players walked off the pitch in protest against the decision.
Senegal, who went on to win the intense final match against hosts, Morocco have since challenged the CAF decision to strip them of the AfCON title.
This is according to Mustapha Kessous’s revelation in Le Monde.
Kessous relies on five official match reports from the centre referee, match commissioner and security personnel in charge during the final match.

The latest investigation highlights how top officials within CAF acted in violation of existing laws.
The management by CAF authorities, at the expense of written regulations, has placed African sport in a major legal deadlock.
