K7 Million Worth 2026 ABSA Cup Draw Confirmed

Winners to pocket K1.1 million as tournament sponsorship rises with SuperSport to boradcast live from Round of 16.

ABSA Bank has increased the prize money for the 2026 ABSA Cup to K7 million, with the winners set to pocket K1.1 million.

Absa Bank Zambia PLC Managing Director Mizinga Melu announced that the total tournament sponsorship for the 2026 edition has been raised to K7 million from K6.5 million in 2025.

“This year’s theme is, in the stands, we stand as one. It captures the essence of football, unity, passion, and shared identity,” Melu said. “The winners of the ABSA Cup will receive a massive K1.1 million. The runners-up will receive K450,000.”

Individual awards, including Player of the Tournament, Golden Boot, and Golden Gloves, will each attract K25,000.

Melu also revealed that matches from the round of 16 onwards will be broadcast live on SuperSport TV, while the preliminary rounds will be streamed on the bank’s Facebook page.
