With the Zambian Premier League 2025-26 season nearing its conclusion, Keagan Syabeene, second assistant coach at NAPSA Stars FC, has emphasized the importance of taking a measured approach.

In a rescheduled Week 25 fixture, NAPSA Stars earned a crucial point on the road after holding Zesco United to a 1-1 draw in Ndola, a result that lifted them to 15th position with 28 points from 29 matches.

Speaking after the match, Syabeene described the result as significant in the context of their survival bid.

“In our fight to survive relegation, this point will count as a very important one” he said.

Syabeene noted that the team’s performance offered encouragement, adding that belief remains high within the camp.

“The hope is always there. Even in training and team talks, we are encouraging the boys not to give up but to play to the best of their ability. The solution is within us — the technical bench, the players, and all stakeholders,” he said.

“All the remaining games are like cup finals for us. We take each game as it comes because every match can move us away from relegation,” he said.

Next Wednesday, NAPSA Stars will next host Nkana FC before travelling to Chililabombwe to face Konkola Blades in what are expected to be decisive fixtures.

Syabeene stressed the need to manage pressure carefully.

“We are trying not to put too much pressure on the players. We absorb it and allow them to relax and perform. There is a lot of planning going on, especially for the next two games.” NAPSA is a brand, and we must ensure it stays afloat for the benefit of all stakeholders.” he said.
