Power Dynamos Football Club defender Kondwani Chiboni has expressed his satisfaction with the team’s turnaround in form following back-to-back MTN Super League wins.

Last Saturday, Aba Yellow defeated FC MUZA 1-0 at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka, following a 5-0 thrashing of Atletico Lusaka before the international break.

Chiboni tells BolaNews in an interview that the wins have been a relief for the Kitwe-based team, which had slacked off after a 2-1 victory over Mufulira Wanderers on the season’s first day.

He adds that the wins have boosted their season aspirations, but that there is still a long way to go in the current season.

“We didn’t start the season as planned, but it’s a marathon we’re getting there as more games come,” Chiboni said.

Chiboni remains one of the most experienced players in the Power Dynamos squad, but he insists that despite having played the first eight games, he will not rest and will continue to fight for a spot in the squad.

“I want to work harder on goal involvements, assists, even scoring, and to be solid to achieve more clean sheets; you know that’s the main job of a modern fullback,” he stated.

Chiboni has one goal this season, which came in the 5-0 thumping of Atletico Lusaka in Week 7.
