Zanaco Ladies FC skipper Tabo Miselo says the team is focused on taking the 2025-26 Eden University Women’s Super League season one game at a time after guiding her side to a 2-1 victory over Nchanga Rangers Queens at Sunset Stadium on Sunday.
The defender was delighted to start the campaign with maximum points but acknowledged the tough challenge posed by the visitors.
“I’m really so excited for the victory because it’s the first game of the season. I just want to thank God and my teammates—we worked hard for this and delivered,” Miselo said.
“It wasn’t an easy match, but like, we’ve always said, we have to take every game seriously. We did that today and got the points.”
The skipper emphasized the importance of consistency in their pursuit of success this season.
“We’ll keep pushing, keep collecting maximum points, and take each match as it comes,” she added.
The Sunset Stadium faithful celebrated the opening win, which sets a strong tone for Zanaco Ladies as they target a competitive run in this year’s league.

Meanwhile, Copper Queens striker, Sarah Jere returned to action, after being sidelined for close to 2 years due to injury.
