The winner of the tie will progress to face either Ghana, Mauritania, or Djibouti in the third round, set for 23 February to 6 March 2027.

The fourth round is scheduled for 4 to 12 October 2027, while the fifth and final round, featuring the last four teams, will take place between 23 November and 4 December 2027.

The Copper Queens have qualified for the Olympics in the last two editions but have exited at the group stage on both occasions.

At the Paris 2024 Olympics, they suffered defeats against the United States (3-0), Australia (6-5), and Germany (4-1).

They will now be aiming to secure a third Olympic appearance and progress beyond the group stage for the first time.
