Cameroon in ‘do or die’ match with Serbia

Survival of the fittest as both Cameroon and Serbia desperately need a win to avoid getting eliminated from the Qatar World Cup.

A tasty affair awaits as Cameroon prepare to overturn their 1-0 loss to Switzerland while Serbia are eager to bounce back from their 2-O loss against Brazil respectively.

Both teams will be looking for a victory as defeat will spell the end of their exploits in Qatar.

Rigobert Song’s men have not been in their best form going into the global showpiece, picking up three defeats and two draws in their last five matches, and would need a miracle to salvage something against a Serbia team that’s in much better form.

Dragan Stojkovic will be optimistic his team can get back to winning ways this afternoon having won five and drawn one of the six matches they played before but anything is possible when the two lock horns.

Cameroon will be searching for their first win since 2022 having lost each of their last eight matches at the World Cup.

A defeat for the Indomitable lions would equal the longest-ever losing run by a nation at the World Cup, set by Mexico who went 9 games in a row without a win at the finals between 1930 and 1958.

Serbia who have lost both of their Fifa World Cup games against African sides, 2-3 against Ivory Coast in 2006 and 0-1 to Ghana in 2010 will look to change the narrative and keep their dreams of making it to the round of 16 alive.

They have lost eight of their 10 World Cup matches and will go into this fixture with hopes of making a difference against an optimistic Cameroon side.

PREDICTION, BETTING TIPS, AND ODDS

Both Cameroon and Serbia showed signs of weakness in their opening matches but this game presents an opportunity for them to redeem their chances and avoid packing their bags. On paper, Cameroon has an edge over the Serbians but they won’t have it easy as they have struggled to score in their recent matches. This match might end in a draw. GO FOR A DRAW X @3.35 OR DOUBLE CHANCE 12 @1.33 FOR EITHER TEAM TO WIN.
