Following the biggest World Cup edition in history, the final has finally arrived. Argentina have a golden opportunity to successfully defend their title, while Spain will aim to dethrone the reigning champions and win only their second World Cup. A blockbuster encounter awaits as the two football giants battle for global supremacy. Here is your betting guide.

Last Five Games (Form)

Both teams have been outstanding throughout the tournament and head into the final with five consecutive victories in their last five World Cup matches.

Spain made history by becoming the first team to record six clean sheets at the tournament after their 2-0 victory over tournament favourites France. Argentina, meanwhile, showed their resilience by fighting hard to secure a 2-1 comeback win against England and book their place in the final.

Head-to-Head Record (Last Three Games)

In their last three meetings, Argentina have won twice, while Spain have recorded one victory. The fixture has all the ingredients for a thrilling and highly competitive final.

Players to Watch

Rodri (Spain): Spain’s success has been built around a midfield masterclass from the Manchester City midfielder, who played a key role in controlling the game during their victory over France. While Fabián Ruiz was named Man of the Match, Rodri’s influence was equally important in helping Spain dominate proceedings.

Lionel Messi (Argentina): Can anyone stop Messi? That is the question many football fans will be asking ahead of this grand finale. The Argentina captain has been a constant threat in attack, registering eight goals and four assists during the tournament. His influence has been immense, but the big question remains whether he can lead his team to another World Cup triumph.

Betting Tip: Over 2.5 Goals

With both teams boasting world-class attacking talent and a history of producing entertaining football, backing over 2.5 goals could be a strong betting option for the final.
