On Saturday, Luton Town earned promotion to the Premier League following a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Coventry City in the English Championship play-off final.
The Hatters went from non-league to gaining promotion for the first time since 1992.
The game ended 1-1 after extra time, and Fankaty Dabo’s penalty miss gave Luton a famous 6-5 shootout victory.
The Hatters who were promoted from League Two in 2018 will now play Premier League football next season.
Frankie Musonda shows Luton support
Meanwhile, Chipolopolo defender Frankie Musonda has been solidly behind his boyhood club, Luton Town FC.
In a show of support for his former club, the defender retweeted the club’s tweet, leaving some Luton and Zambian fans fantasizing about a reunion between him and his boyhood club.
Musonda joined Luton Town at the age of eight and progressed through the club’s youth system.
In 2014, he was promoted to the under-18 team and named captain. He led the team to a 16-game unbeaten streak, during which they conceded just seven goals.
They won the Youth Alliance South East title and the Youth Alliance Cup in that period.
Musonda also helped them reach the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup, in which they lost 1–0 to Blackburn Rovers.

The Hatters later handed Musonda a one-and-a-half-year professional contract on 4 November 2015.
The Bedford-born defender made his debut for Luton Town’s first team in a League Two match against Northampton Town in 2015. In that game, he was an unused substitute.

Musonda went on to make 23 first-team appearances for Luton before being sent on back-to-back loans to Oxford City FC, Hemel Hempstead Town, and St Albans City.
He later made a permanent move to Scottish Championship side, Raith Rovers in 2020 before joining his current club Ayr United last season.
