Three weeks after FCB Nyasa Big Bullets filed a complaint against Libyan referee Elmabrouk Muhamad over “questionable decisions,” the Malawi champions are frustrated that the CAF has yet to respond.

Bullets were disappointed with Muhamad for awarding a penalty to Zambia’s Red Arrows in the second leg of the CAF Champions League’s first preliminary round.

Bullets CEO Albert Chigoga said there has been no response since they filed their complaints with the Football Association of Malawi (FAM).

Even FAM’s competitions director, Gomezgani Zakazaka, stated that CAF has remained silent since the day they forwarded Bullets’ complaints.

“We are still waiting to hear from them but there is no response,” said Zakazaka.

Chigoga said it is frustrating that CAF has remained tight-lipped over what Bullets submitted.

“Decisions that the officiating panel made were questionable, we recorded some videos and submitted them to CAF to review our case but since we submitted them, there is nothing from them.

“It’s frustrating, the fact that Arrows has progressed and they are into the second preliminary round [playing against TP Mazembe] tells you a story that CAF has not listened to our case. Anyway, we will keep waiting,” he said.

Meanwhile, Arrows already lost 2-0 at home to TP Mazembe in their CAF Champions League second preliminary round first leg. They will travel to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for a second leg in the hopes of turning the tables this Saturday.
