Power Dynamos goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga has long been known for a distinctive look that blends a structured, table-cut-style hair shape with a more relaxed, shaggy finish, a style that loosely resembles that of Cameroonian keeper Andre Onana.

But towards the end of the season, most fans noticed a noticeable shift. The usually familiar, relaxed hair was gone, replaced by a clean shave.

Bolanews had a chat with Mulenga to explain the inspiration.

“It was a new beginning,” Mulenga, who has been at the centre of speculation over his Power future, said. “Uku chitako fye ifya pusanako [just tried to do something different].”

Meanwhile, Mulenga described Power’s season as a good season.

“It was a great season; it feels great to win the league back to back. It was never an easy season but we thank God for the title,” Mulenga said.
