Jumulo FC is 14th on the log with 27 points from 26, leaving the team with little margin for error in the remaining fixtures.

Speaking in an exclusive interview, Zimiseleni Moyo admitted his second spell as head coach in National League has been challenging but believes Jumulo is steadily improving.

“My second stint has not been as easy as my time at Kafue Eagles FC, where it was easier to take the team out of relegation because I was already part of the system,” Moyo said.

“Jumulo has been a good challenge, but we have managed to restore confidence in the boys. Now there is consistency in performances and we have become a team that is not easy to beat.”

Meanwhile, reflecting on last Wednesday’s result, Moyo felt his side deserved more from the draw against Locus but remains focused on the bigger picture.

“It was unfortunate in the Locus game because with fair officiating it could have been a win for us, but that is now water under the bridge. In five games we will be out of that phase,” he said.

The coach added that making the most of home matches will be key to survival.

“We have mastered our home ground and will capitalise on that advantage. With confident players, a supportive technical bench and committed sponsors, I believe we will achieve survival and then plan better for next season.”
