On Saturday, Power Dynamos will aim to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit suffered against Al Merrikh in Rwanda, to keep their CAF Champions League campaign alive.
The Sudanese side carry a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg against the Zambian champions at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Speaking to the club’s media, Al Merrikh, vice-president for financial affairs and chairman of the club’s delegation to Zambia, Tayar Muhammed Azim said the team is determined to secure a positive result when the two sides meet.
The Sudanese side arrived in Ndola on Wednesday.
“We felt that all the players are full of enthusiasm and determination, God willing, to achieve victory,” Azim said.
He added that the club’s administrative delegation was working to ensure that all arrangements for the match were in place.
Azim also thanked Power Dynamos for the warm reception accorded to the Sudanese club since its arrival in Zambia.

“We also received a warm welcome from the Zambian club Power Dynamos team, and we thank them as well,” he said.
The Al Merrikh official expressed hope that Saturday’s encounter would produce a positive result for the Sudanese club, to progress to the next stage of the competition.
