Jeban Tembo, newly signed Zanaco Football club goalkeeper has described his move to the Bankers as a dream come true after joining the club on a two-year loan deal from city rivals, Red Arrows.
Tembo says his connection with Zanaco dates back to his childhood, when he would watch the Bankers play because of the club’s proximity to his home in Mtendere.
“Growing up, I loved watching the Bankers because Mtendere and Sunset are not far, so most of the time I would come to watch football. So, a dream come true,” Tembo said in his first interview.

The goalkeeper also revealed that he drew inspiration from Power Dynamos goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga, whom he grew up watching while in Mtendere.
“Watching Lawrence Mulenga inspired me to become a goalkeeper” he said.
