According to Lubinda, the visitors (Green Eagles) entered the match with a defensive attitude.

Green Eagles, who came to Woodlands Stadium eager to snap their three-game losing streak, made it difficult for the Napsa Stars to win all three points at home.

Following the goalless tie, assistant coach Lawrence M. Lubinda acknowledged that his team had trouble making progress.

“It was a very difficult game for us. We failed to penetrate in the last third,” Lubinda said in his post-match interview.

Lubinda praised his team’s effort on the field and saw positives in their performance even if they were unable to win.

“Not the result we wanted, but looking at the boys, they put in a good shift despite not collecting maximum points.”

Eagles, who had lost three straight games, appeared more concerned with avoiding another loss than with winning.

According to Lubinda, the visitors entered the match with a defensive attitude.

“Looking at the way Eagles came, they came with a huge plan. I think for them, they told themselves that a point would be okay playing away and coming from three losses. But for us, it was the other way round—we wanted three points.”

With Eagles sitting deep and denying Napsa any real scoring chances, the Pensioners will now shift focus to their next fixture against Nchanga Rangers.

“It wasn’t an easy game, playing a team that has lost three games in a row. I’m sure they prepared very well for us. Looking at how they were playing, so solid in their defensive line. We go back to the training ground, looking forward to the next game.”
