Power Dynamos defender Mathews Chabala says he is happy to have joined the champions and is targeting domestic and continental success with the club.
Chabala, who moved to Arthur Davies Stadium from Zesco United, said he had received a warm welcome from his new teammates, many of whom he already knows.
“I am happy to have joined the champions. I have been well received by my teammates because most of them are my colleagues,” Chabala told the club’s media.
Power have won the league title in the last two seasons and will be seeking a third consecutive championship when the new season gets underway.
Chabala said the team must maintain its dominance in the domestic league by retaining the title.
On the continental front, Chabala has set his sights on reaching at least the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
Power’s most recent Champions League campaign ended at the group stage.
“In the Champions League, we need to reach at least the semi-finals,” Chabala said.
