After a quiet start to the transfer window, defending Super League champions Power Dynamos have stepped up their recruitment drive with a series of eye-catching signings as they prepare to defend their title.
The club has snapped up Zanaco captain and Chipolopolo midfielder Wilson Chisala, while Zesco United defender Mathews Chabala and striker Amine Hiver have also made the short trip from Levy Mwanawasa Stadium to Arthur Davies Stadium, BolaNews sources have disclosed.
With Moses Shumah having shone in his first season at Power, the club has once again turned to the Kenyan market and secured the services of Marvin Omondi Nabwire, who joins from AFC Leopards.
The arrivals will come as a consolation to fans who had expressed concern that the club was not doing enough to assemble a squad capable of successfully defending the league title.
The players were also seen taking part in the team’s friendly match against Roan United.
Power will be aiming to retain the championship when the season gets underway in September under the transition format, with the champions drawn in Stream A of the league.
The club has also made a number of progressive moves off the pitch, including tying head coach Osward Mutapa down to a further three years after he guided the team to back-to-back league titles.
