Chipolopolo and Zanaco midfielder Wilson Chisala has bid farewell to Zanaco ahead of an imminent move to MTN Super League champions Power Dynamos.
In a farewell message released on Monday, Chisala thanked the club’s management, coaches, teammates and supporters for their role during his four-year stay at Sunset Stadium.
“After four unforgettable seasons, the time has come for me to say goodbye. Leaving this club is not easy because it has been more than just a team—it has been my home, my family, and a place where I have grown both as a footballer and as a person,” Chisala said.
The Chipolopolo midfielder said he is grateful for the opportunities he received at Zanaco, saying every challenge, has shaped his career.
“I want to express my deepest appreciation to the club’s management for believing in me and trusting me to wear this badge with pride.
“Thank you to the coaches and technical staff for your guidance, encouragement, and commitment to helping me become a better player every single day,” he said.
Chisala also paid tribute to his teammates and the club’s supporters, saying the relationships he built would remain with him throughout his career.
Chisala said he is leaving the club with “nothing but respect, gratitude, and love” and wished Zanaco continued success in the coming seasons.
“Although this chapter is coming to an end, the memories and experiences I have gained here will stay with me forever. I leave with nothing but respect, gratitude, and love for this club, and I sincerely wish everyone continued success in the seasons ahead,” he said.
Chisala has not confirmed his next step but has been closely linked to Power Dynamos, with sources close to the player stating that the deal is in its final stage.
