Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League newcomers Hard Rock Football Club head coach Kelvin Kaindu believes the club’s facilities will play a crucial role in building a competitive squad as they prepare for life in the top flight.

Kaindu joins Hard Rock FC following a successful end to the 2025 season, where he guided Dynamos to the Chibuku Super Cup and steered the Harare giants to safety in the Premier Soccer League.

The newly promoted side has moved quickly to reinforce its squad, making several signings ahead of the new campaign, including the acquisition of Zambian striker Andrew Phiri from Tanzanian outfit Singida Black Stars FC.

Speaking in an interview with Bola News, Kaindu said the club’s infrastructure provides a strong foundation for sustainable growth in the Premiership.

“We want to fully utilise the facilities that we have as we build a team that can establish itself in the Premier League,” Kaindu said.

The experienced Zambian coach also expects the 2026 season to be highly competitive, noting the widespread movement of coaches across the league.

“It’s going to be a very interesting season. Many teams have seen coaches moving to different clubs — Caps United, Dynamos, Highlanders, Hard Rock, Scottland, Triangle United and Chicken Inn. Teams will need to adapt to new coaching ideas and trends in football,” he said.

Hard Rock FC face a stern test at the start of their maiden top-flight campaign, opening the season at home against defending champions Scotland FC over the weekend of April 2–3. They will then travel to Triangle United for their Week Two fixture.
