Power Dynamos have set an ambitious target to win the Champions League “one day” based on lessons learned from the current season, in which they were eliminated at the group stage.

On Sunday, Power exited the competition after finishing third in Group A, missing out on the quarter-final place by three points. They had seven points, three behind RS Berkane, who were in second.

Their third-place finish guarantees them US$ 700,000 [K12.8 million] and an additional US$100,000 [K184, 000] according to the 2025/26 season prize money structure.

Reacting to the elimination, club chief executive officer Gibson Chaloba has told reporters that the club has drawn valuable lessons that will be used in the future as they plan to conquer Africa.

“We were not satisfied, because in this competition one should be able to plan to win it. Of course our goal was to reach the group stage, which we ably attained, but now that we managed to reach the group stage, we need to redevelop our goal,” Chaloba said.

He said Power aims to win the Champions League.

“Our aim is to win it…there is nothing like putting our bar too low; we are aiming high because that is where the monies are, and we want to get money. This money should not just be left to Arab countries.”
