Zanaco head coach, Kelvin Kaindu said complacency cost his side on Sunday when they suffered their second home defeat at the hands of Forest Rangers.

Kaindu blamed his players for being complacent in the manner they approached Sunday’s week 4 Super League encounter against the Ndola-based side which saw them record yet another defeat in front of their home fans at Sunset Stadium.

A solitary goal from Libamba Moyela in the 27th minute was enough to hand Forest Rangers their second win of the season over the Bankers who have now recorded back-to-back defeats at home with both their victories this season coming away from Sunset Stadium.

Speaking during a post-match interview, Kaindu was not happy with the way his team conceded and believes his defenders could have done better to avoid defeat.

I think complacency on our side, we started very low, especially in the first half and even the way we conceded it’s not healthy, we could’ve done well.

Bemoaned Kaindu.

Meanwhile, his Forest Rangers counterpart Ian Bakala said the game Zanaco played against Nkana had given him a clear picture of how to beat them and his tactics worked according to plan to grab maximum points away from home.

Coming here I knew that it won’t be easy because we were up against a strong team but having watched them when they played Nkana, I think that game did give me a clear picture of  how to beat Zanaco and our plan worked out.

He said.

Bakala’s victory over the Bankers has pushed Forest Rangers to 8 points from four games to sit 4th on the Super League log standings while Zanaco is now sitting in 9th position with six-point.

Forest Rangers have won two away matches, beating both Kabwe Warriors and Zanaco with a 0-1 score line and they are yet to lose at home so far this season having drawn 0-0 with Kansanshi Dynamos and 1-1 with Buildcon.
