Newly promoted Super League side Trident Football Club has announced commencement of temporal rehabilitation works at the Sentinel grounds in Kalumbila, Northwestern province.

Trident Football Club President Mainza Mazuba reveals that sponsors want Trident to play their Super Division matches within Kalumbila.

According to Mazuba, “FQM Trident Limited is fully sponsoring the works as it is the mining company’s desire to see Trident Football Club play their Super Division matches within Kalumbila.”

Construction of change rooms, a grandstand, and the installation of a perimeter fence are all included in the scope of the restoration work that the Town council and other identified contractors will be responsible for carrying out.

The playing surface at Sentinel grounds needs to be resized to meet standards and upgraded with FIFA-certified grass, among other things.

Additionally, the team has declared that construction on a new stadium will begin later this year.

Trident FC is the third from the North-western Province to compete in the super league after Lumwana Radiants and Kansanshi Dynamos.
