Veteran coach Albert Kachinga is set to rejoin FC Leopards, two seasons after leaving the club, BolaNews has learnt.
Kachinga resigned as head coach of FC Leopards in October 2023 before joining Trident FC on a two-year contract.
On March 17, 2025, the experienced tactician returned to Kabwe to take up the head coach role at Kabwe Warriors, replacing Numba Mumamba, who mutually parted ways with the Kabwe-based side. He left the Warriors last year.
However, Kachinga is now expected to replace Justin Chinama at FC Leopards after the latter was relieved of his duties last week following a poor run of results.
A source close to the club revealed to BolaNews that arrangements are in place to unveil Kachinga as the new head coach.
“FC Leopards have decided to recall their former coach Albert Kachinga to take over as head coach and replace Justin Chinama. Talks have been ongoing, and the club will soon unveil him. Kachinga has been clubless since leaving Kabwe Warriors,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Sunday Sichimata is currently in charge of the team in an interim capacity.
