The Zambian topflight has been teeming with breathtaking moments this year, with several stars, both local and foreign, rising to the occasion with some astounding goalscoring feats.
BolaNews unveils the list of topscorers in the Zambian Super League in 2024.
5. Austin Muwowo (Power Dynamos): 8 goals
Muwowo is enjoying his football at Power Dynamos FC. The 2019 Zambian Super League topscorer has registered eight goals for Aba Yellow in 2024.
Also sitting on eight goals for the year are Red Arrows’ Saddam Yusuf Phiri, Forest Rangers’ Quadri Kola and FC MUZA’s Biston Banda.
4. Andrew Phiri (FC MUZA): 9 goals
Despite missing league action after a failed move away from FC MUZA, Phiri’s goalscoring numbers remain unscathed. He has nine league goals under his belt for the Mazabuka-based outfit this calendar year.
3. Godfrey Binga (Kabwe Warriors): 9 goals
The nine goals Godfrey Binga has scored for Kabwe Warriors in 2024 significantly dwarf the solitary goal he netted for the club the previous year. Speaking to BolaNews in 2023, the striker stated, “We have very stiff competition on our team, especially in my position. The coach has been so patient and helpful to me. I’m hoping to score more.”
“I Will Keep Pushing” – Chansa.
In 2024-25, Binga has not only been Kabwe Warriors’ main source of goals but also the most clutch player in the Zambian Super League, netting the most match-winning goals this season (5).
2. Simon Mulenga (Nkwazi/Green Eagles): 10 goals
Mulenga’s return to Green Eagles from his loan spell at Nkwazi FC has been nothing short of brilliant.
Adding to the brace he netted for the Policemen in a 2-1 win against NAPSA Stars in May, he has scored eight goals for Tonka Tweende this year.
This makes him one of just two players in the Zambian Super League to hit double figures for goals scored in 2024.
1. Titus Chansa (Mutondo Stars): 13 goals
Comfortably leading the charts as the Zambian Super League topscorer of 2024 is Mutondo Stars marksman Titus Chansa.
He has returned 13 goals in the Zambian top tier this year, including the nine goals that see him lead the Golden Boot race for 2024-25.
“I will keep on improving in each and every game and score more goals so that I earn myself a national team call-up,” Chansa told BolaNews in October.
