Joseph Ssemujju, recently acquired by Kansanshi Dynamos, says he is prepared for the physical demands of the Zambian Premier league, which he has described as more competitive and intense than the Ugandan top flight.
Ssemujju, joined the Mabanga Boys as a free agent from Uganda Premier League side URA FC on a 17-month contract running from August 2026 to December 2027.
“I’m excited and happy to be here. I would like to thank all the people who have enabled me to be here, who have been there to bring me here,” Ssemujju said.
The Ugandan forward has promised Kansanshi Dynamos supporters, more goals, insisting that scoring remains his primary responsibility.
“Kansanshi Dynamos fans should expect goals because I’m a striker, and my role here in the team is to try and score goals. My target is to elevate my game. I want to do my best and push for the team and also for myself,” he said.
Ssemujju said his initial assessment of Zambian football is that it is more physically demanding than what he experienced in Uganda.
“The Zambian league is a bit competitive and physical, compared to the Ugandan league,” he said.
The striker believes his physical and high-intensity style will help him adapt to the demands of the Zambian game.

“I’m a physical player, and I’m also an intense player, so I expect to match and compete,” he said.
“Kansanshi Dynamos fans should expect a lot from me, like goals and a beautiful game because that’s my game. I play well, and hopefully we can achieve more and more.”
