At REIZ Arena on Saturday, Kansanshi Dynamos’ search for their first victory of the 2025–26 MTN Super League season continues after they let a one-goal advantage slip against NAPSA Stars, settling for a 1–1 draw.

The visitors took the lead just four minutes into the second half through Francisco Madinga.

However, their hopes of a much-needed win were dashed in the 77th minute when Zambian international Augustine Mulenga equalized for the Pensioners.

The draw leaves Kansanshi Dynamos still in the relegation zone, without a single win since their return to the top flight.

Reflecting on the match, Saileti admitted his side struggled to handle the growing pressure from Napsa Stars in the final stages of the game.

“Our defense was a bit under pressure because they started pumping long balls. We invited them to play those long balls, and the pressure was there, and we lacked concentration, and we failed to manage one goal.”

The Kansanshi backline, which had looked solid in the first half, appeared unsettled as Napsa switched to a more direct style, resulting in repeated defensive lapses.

Mabanga’s frontline misfiring persist.

Kansanshi’s attacking problems have also been a major concern. The newcomers have managed only three goals in eight games and are yet to score more than once in a single match this season.

Saileti acknowledged this shortcoming, stressing the need for his side to become more ruthless in front of the goal.

“It’s a worry because at the beginning we were not scoring; now we are scoring one goal, which is positive, but we need to kill the game; we need to score two goals“

He also pointed to the importance of improving his players’ mental strength to help them see out matches.

“We just need to work on the mental strength of the whole team. Will just need to concentrate throughout ninety minutes; they need to know that we need to win some games also.”
