Nkana midfielder Harrison Chisala believes the team can continue its winning streak after defeating Atletico Lusaka 5-1 over the weekend.
Nkana ended their three-match losing streak with a convincing victory over Atletico. The victory helped the record title holder keep leaders Zesco United in sight.
Chisala told Bolanews in an interview that the team was coming off a bad run in which they only got one point out of a possible nine.
“It was a good win. I hope it is the beginning of a good run. We need to put up a number of good results .…. But as you know, it is not always easy,” Chisala said.
Nkana is set to host Green Eagles on Saturday and are hoping to avenge the 2-1 loss they suffered in the first round.
Nkana’s best run this season was between October 23 and November 1, where they had eight wins, three draws, and one defeat.
“The team is working hard. I know that every player is looking to give their best... And I have belief that we are able to put up a good run if we continue working hard,” he said.
Nkana is fifth on the log with 37 points, six behind leaders Zesco United.
