Chifundo Mphasi, a Malawian international, has rated highly the Zambian Super League to be more competitive than the Malawian league.
Mphasi, who began playing football in Zambia with Shamuel Academy, has had a successful career and is gradually establishing himself.
The Malawian-born winger has also played for the Kabwe Warriors, helping them to the 2024 ABSA Cup tournament finals despite their loss to Red Arrows.
After an impressive run with Kabwe Warriors, Mphasi attracted interest from Kitwe Giants Power Dynamos.
He joined Dynamos the previous season and performed brilliantly, helping the team win the Zambian Super League for the eighth time.
Speaking to Bolanews exclusively, Mphasi admitted that the Zambian league is more competitive.
“The coming in of Malawian players into the Zambian league is a good thing and a new challenge for the players. They also want to show that they are also good players. The Zambian league is more competitive compared to the Malawian league and it’s a tough league. Zambia has got alot of talented players,”said Mphasi.

Additionally, Mphasi further noted that the defending Champions are getting ready for the new challenge ahead.
“Preparations are going on well we are still pushing the task and challenge ahead of us is huge so we have alot of work to do. Alot will be expected from us especially that we are representing the Country in Continental football,”added Mphasi.
Power Dynamos will kick start their league defence against former champions, Red Arrows in the Super League’s first game.
