Power Dynamos Football Club has announced the departure of Kenyan striker Moses Shumah and midfielder Brian Masanyinga ahead of the new season.

Shumah has completed a transfer to South African Premier Soccer League side AmaZulu FC after the two clubs reached an agreement. The Kenyan striker leaves Arthur Davies Stadium despite having one year remaining on his contract.

The forward joined Power Dynamos from Kakamega Homeboyz in July last year and enjoyed a remarkable debut season, winning the MTN Super League Golden Boot with 21 goals. He scored a total of 23 goals in all competitions during his time at the club.

Meanwhile, midfielder Brian Masanyinga has left the Kitwe giants after securing an opportunity to join the Zambia Police Service.

Power Dynamos Chief Executive Officer Gibson Chaloba thanked both players for their service and contribution to the club.

“Moses had an excellent season for us and his goals were a major reason for our success. He worked hard, remained focused and has earned this opportunity to take the next step in his career,” Chaloba said.

He also praised Masanyinga for his professionalism and commitment, wishing him success as he begins a new career with the Zambia Police Service.

Power Dynamos said both players leave with the club’s appreciation and best wishes for their future endeavors.

The club added that it remains focused on strengthening its squad as preparations continue for the upcoming season and continental competitions.
