Defender Adrian Chama is close to signing for Nkwazi Football Club after spending last season without a club, BolaNews has learnt.

Chama is currently a free agent following his departure from Zimbabwean side Yadah FC.

The former Chipolopolo international was released by Zesco United in July 2023 and later joined Yadah FC, where he had only a brief stint.

The ex-Green Buffaloes defender has been training with Nkwazi and featured in the team’s friendly match against Prison Leopards on Wednesday.

Nkwazi faced Prison Leopards at Edwin Imboela Stadium in a pre-season friendly, which ended in a 1-0 win for the police-sponsored side.

A source close to the ongoing talks confirmed to BolaNews that negotiations have been finalised.

“He has joined the team now and has been training with them for weeks now. A deal has been concluded between the two parties and he will soon be unveiled. He even featured in the friendly match involving Prison Leopards,” said the source.

Nkwazi FC will kick off their Super League campaign against city rivals Green Buffaloes.
