Aggrey Chiyangi, Green Buffaloes Football Club coach praised his players following a hard-fought 2–1 victory over FC Leopards at Edwin Imboela stadium on Saturday.
Speaking after the match, Chiyangi described the win as a timely boost for the team, especially with an away fixture coming up next.
“It’s a good motivation to the team, especially that the next game we’re going away,” Chiyangi said. “We are happy with the way the players played to make sure that we win.”
Chiyangi acknowledged that the encounter was far from straightforward, commending FC Leopards for their quality and organisation.
The victory adds momentum for Green Buffaloes as they continue their campaign, with Chiyangi expressing satisfaction with the players’ performance and resilience in a challenging contest.
“It wasn’t easy. They are playing very well as a team, and it’s a side you can’t underestimate,” he noted.
The win took Buffaloes’ tally to 21 points from 15 games as they sit in 10th position.
