Nkwazi Football Club are in advanced talks with defensive midfielder Benson Chali, who is set to join them from Green Buffaloes Football Club, Bolanews has learned.

Chali joined Green Buffaloes in 2023 as a free agent after he separated from Kansanshi Dynamos.

The defensive midfielder is set to join Nkwazi on loan from rivals Green Buffaloes.

Chali has not been getting enough game time at the Army-sponsored side; hence, the reason for his switch to Nkwazi.

Benson Chali has featured for Kansanshi Dynamos and Forest Rangers, among other teams, in the Super League.

Chali is set to reconnect with head coach Masauso Tembo, whom he previously worked with at Green Buffaloes.

A source close to the player revealed to BolaNews that the player is currently training with Nkwazi.

“Benson left Green Buffaloes and is currently training with Nkwazi, even though he has not been signed yet. Final talks have been concluded, and he will soon feature for Nkwazi.

He decided to leave Buffaloes because he needed more game time, and he needed to explore other options that were available,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Nkwazi will face Zanaco on Sunday in the Super League action.
