Zambia U-17 defender Jonathan Kalimina has joined Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg from Kafue Celtic.

The 17-year-old is scheduled to move to Austria in January 2027.

Although the a pre-contract agreement signed, Kalimina will continue his development at Kafue Celtic until he turns 18.

Kalimina played a key role for Zambia at the 2024 FIFA U-17 World Cup, captaining the side to their first-ever appearance in the knockout stage.

He becomes the third Zambian player, after Patson Daka and Enock Mwepu, to join the Austrian club from Kafue Celtic.
