Zambia is set to host a Four Nations Tournament during the June FIFA window, scheduled to run between June 1 and 9, 2026.
The tournament is expected to feature Zambia, Kenya and Zimbabwe, while Burkina Faso’s participation is now in doubt, with another team likely to be unveiled soon as a replacement.
Copper Queens coach Nora Häuptle is expected back in the country on Sunday, with a press conference also anticipated where she is expected to announce her squad for the tournament.
Meanwhile, Kenya has confirmed that they will open their campaign against Zimbabwe on June 6 before taking on hosts Zambia on June 9, 2026.
The tournament will serve as part of the teams’ preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which is scheduled to run from July 25 to August 16, 2026.
The WAFCON tournament will also act as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
