CAF has officially released the full fixture list for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be held in Morocco from July 5 to July 26, 2024.
The tournament will kick off at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, with hosts Morocco facing Zambia in the opening match. Later that day, Senegal will take on DR Congo at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia.
The second round of Group A matches will see DR Congo face Morocco on July 8 in Rabat. That will be followed by Zambia vs Senegal on July 9 in Mohammedia. The group stage will conclude on July 13, with Morocco playing Senegal in Rabat and Zambia taking on DR Congo in Mohammedia.
Group B and C Fixtures
In Group B, Nigeria will begin their campaign against Tunisia on July 6 at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca. Algeria, on the other hand, meets Botswana the same evening at the Père Jégo Stadium. On July 9, Botswana will face Nigeria, and on July 11, Tunisia will play Algeria. The final group matches will see Tunisia vs Botswana on July 13. Nigeria vs Algeria on July 15, both in Casablanca.
In Group C, defending champions South Africa open against Ghana on July 6 at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda, while Mali takes on Tanzania in Berkane. In the second round, Tanzania vs South Africa is on July 10, and Ghana vs Mali is on July 12. The group concludes on July 15, with Ghana facing Tanzania in Berkane and South Africa meeting Mali on July 17.
Following the group stage, the quarterfinals are scheduled for Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. The semifinals will take place on Tuesday, July 23, followed by the third-place match on Friday, July 25.
The final is set for July 26, at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, with kickoff scheduled for 21:00 local time.
