Nigeria Women’s National Team earned a famous 3-2 victory at the ongoing FIFA world Cup when they stunned Co-host Australia on Thursday, with Asisat Oshoala netting the winner.

Oshoala, a striker for the Super Falcons, scored the game’s third goal and celebrated by ripping off her shirt in a wild celebration. Football fans have reacted differently to her celebration.

Oshoala entered the game as a Substitute in the 72nd minute with the score level at 1-1, and her impact was immediately apparent.

And the Barcelona striker acknowledged that her father was undoubtedly one of the individuals who might not have approved of how she celebrated.

The 28-year-old striker, a Muslim by faith, said that her dad was not happy with choice of celebration, but life is a collection of moments.

“My dad is definitely not happy with my choice of celebration but then again, Life is a collection of moments,” she posted on her Instagram.

A draw against N-Ireland will push Nigeria to the last 16.

Oshoala became the first African to score at three different women’s world Cup championships.

Asisat Oshoala scored on her world Cup debut in 3-3 draw against Sweden in Canada 2015 and in 2019 she netted a goal in a 2-0 victory over South Korea in France.
