Grace Chanda decided to terminate her contract with Orlando Pride, a mutual decision, the club has announced.
“Grace is an exceptional athlete and person, and we are grateful for the contributions she made during her time with the Pride,” said Orlando Pride Head Coach Seb Hines. “After discussions with Grace, we mutually agreed that this is the best step for her career and personal goals. We wish her nothing but success in her next chapter and look forward to seeing her continue to grow both on and off the field.”
She has now joined Mexican club Gallos Femenil on a free transfer.
Chanda joined Orlando Pride in May 2024, but her debut was delayed after she sustained an injury ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics with Zambia.
She eventually made her NWSL debut in April 2025 and managed to play only seven games for Orlando Pride across all competitions.
Chanda became the third Zambian player to join the NWSL, following Racheal Kundananji, who signed for Bay FC for a world record fee, and Barbra Banda, who is also at Orlando Pride.
