Zanaco Football Club head coach Numba Mumamba has shifted attention to collecting maximum points over Nkana in the upcoming Week 22 MTN Super League fixture set for Sunset Stadium.
The Bankers returned to winning ways when they beat Nkwazi 1-0 at Edwin Imboela Stadium in an away Week 21 MTN Super League match in Lusaka. The win lifted them back to fourth position with 34 points, while Nkwazi remained deep in the relegation zone in 15th place with 18 points.
In a post-match interview, Mumamba states that it was a difficult encounter, but maximum points were all that mattered.
“I think this is a pitch where most of the teams struggle to get maximum points. But I think today we managed to fight, and we got the lone goal that has given us three points,” he said. “Otherwise, we are happy with this victory because it will motivate us as we go into our next game against Nkana.”

Mumamba also urged his team to be consistent, especially when playing at home, as he declared, “We have another important assignment ahead of us. We have to make sure that we prepare the team so that we can collect maximum points as we play Nkana.”
He added, “Looking at how we’ve been dropping points, especially at our home ground, I think that is where we need to maximise on collecting maximum points. Otherwise, we are happy with this victory. We just have to build on this one.”
The last meeting between Zanaco and Nkana ended 0-1 in favour of the Bankers at the Nkana Stadium in Kitwe. Zanaco will look to complete a double over the record champions, who lost their second consecutive match last weekend.
