Cameroonian and Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana set the record for the most cleansheets in a single UEFA Champions League campaign on Tuesday night in his team’s 0-2 win over AC Milan in the first leg of their semifinal tie.

Inter stunned their City rivals with two goals under 11 minutes of the first half through Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to take the aggregate lead ahead of next week’s return leg.

Onana kept another cleansheet in the Champions League to set the record in the competition.

It was his seventh cleansheet in 11 appearances, making him the only goalkeeper in the competition’s history to accomplish that feat.

Not only is Onana the competition’s cleansheet king this season, but he has also made 43 saves, more than anyone else.

He has conceded six goals but has overall been the best goalkeeper in this campaign.

Onana, who announced his retirement from international football after the World Cup last year, is now aiming to become only the second African goalkeeper to win the Champions League, with Inter one foot already in the final.
